Objectivies and Approach

The main objective of this project is to incorporate advanced software engineering technologies and practises into distributed system developments. The aim is to design and implement a multimedia platform adhering to standards such as ODP (open distributed processing) and CORBA. Analysis, design, implementation and testing are being conducted with the aid of CASE tools supplied by the European partner.

Progress and Results

Several components of the distributed platform to be developed are already operational. For instance, the management and communication facilities are fully implemented. Other components related to quality of service, media storage/retrieving and structuring facilities are still under development.
