Objectivies and Approach

This project aims at testing the feasibility of electronic exchanges of business statistical data in China. Since technical building blocks to carry out data communications already exist, EDICHINA focuses on standards (data, technical structures) and organisation, necessary to support electronic data exchanges in companies, government agencies, as well as between them. Further objectives are:

The project consists of pilot operations on selected data that are exchanged between a sample of companies and SIC. The approach is to reuse existing techniques and European standards as much as possible, while focusing on the development of new concepts, standards (where needed), organisational patterns and software interfaces.
