The aim of this project is to help create some viable nodes of a broader European research network, which will support the establishment of meaningful cooperation between this community and the Polish information technology industry, and through this help retain the Polish scientific community in informatics.
The main subject of the project is research in mathematically oriented theoretical computer science, as well as in cognitive sciences and microelectronics.
The project will launch a call for tender to which polish IT researchers, working on national projects of the KBN, can respond. These proposals will then be evaluated and a competitive selection will be carried out by a panel of international experts from Poland and the EU
A first call attracted 63 research teams to propose subprojects, six of which were selected in the following fields :
The subprojects provided the research groups with opportunities to maintain their scientific work, to improve cooperation with their counterparts in the EU and to establish new links between Polish and EU industries.
