The aim of the project is to promote the provision of software tools and vocational skills for businessmen in small and medium-sized enterprises by making available modern information technologies and applications.
The approach is to establish support units in Bulgaria and in Lithuania to:
By June 1996 the software development has been streamlined to include Multilingual Multimedia Language Services, Multifunctional Geographical Information Systems and General Management Software. These software packages have not yet been finished.
The support units in Bulgaria and Lithuania provide training courses for SMEs - pilot training courses have been offered and new will begin -, consultancy and monitoring of the market demands, and development and dissemination of supporting materials - the first training and teaching materials have been prepared -.
Information dissemination will be achieved primarily through commercial production of software on disks and CD-ROMs, and accompanying written materials (copies may be requested), and through training courses at the support centres.
