Objectives

The OMI/STANDARDS project aims to identify and agree on relevant standards to be followed by projects participating in OMI. The purpose of these standards is to allow the exploitation of application developments which combine deliverables from different projects. Standards will be introduced only where necessary to meet this objective.

The project's objective are to:

Major development work on OMI standards will take place within the appropriate OMI implementation projects. The OMI/DIS project (6175) will provide training and support materials to enable users to gain maximum benefit from the standards in question.
